Craig joined Baxter Harries in January 2016 having practised in Essex for over 7 years as a Family and Criminal Solicitor-Advocate.

Craig read Law at the University of Westminster and graduated in 2006 before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford in 2007. Following his studies, Craig has amassed a wealth of experience in all types of Family and Criminal Law.

Since qualification, Craig attained his Higher Rights in both the Civil and Criminal Courts and has appeared in the Higher Courts including various Crown Courts nationwide and the Court of Appeal.

At Baxter Harries, Craig leads the Criminal Team in dealing with all types of criminal matters from Motoring Offences to serious and complex offences, such as fraud. Craig has a particular interest in the complex area of Road Traffic Offences and often represents clients at risk of losing their licences. Craig is often complimented for his straightforward advice and skilled advocacy in Court.

Craig also represents Companies and their Directors in Criminal, Regulatory and Motoring Offences. Craig is able to represent commercial clients in regulatory matters, including investigations and prosecutions by the Care Quality Commission and Health and Safety Executive.

Craig’s Family Law practice relates mainly to Children Law and Craig works regularly with Deborah Baxter and Laura Carr in the Family Team. Craig regularly represents parents in both care proceedings and private disputes regarding child arrangements (residence and contact). Craig has recently obtained his accreditation in Children Law, which acknowledges his specialism in this area of law.

Craig also has experience in representing Children in Care proceedings and is instructed on behalf of the Children’s Guardian to represent the best interests of the child.

Craig lives locally and enjoys playing squash.
